Round tomatoes

The tomato plant - Solanum lycopersicum – is a climber that is currently cultivated using wire. The tomatoes then grow in bunches and are harvested one by one when they start turning red. A tomato generally contains 12 kcals, 1 gram protein and 2 grams carbohydrates. This fruit is very healthy and contains a combination of vitamins C, B1, B2, B6 and minerals.

The standard sizes of our tomatoes are:
A: 47 - 57 mm
B: 57 - 67 mm
BB6: 67 - 72 mm

Ideal storage temperature:
Did you know that tomatoes are best stored at room temperature? Tomatoes lose their flavour when stored below 10 degrees. The ideal storage temperature is between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius.

Packaging:
The standard packaging for loose tomatoes is in 6 kg. boxes. Client-specific packaging, such as flowpack, netlon, crates and special boxes, is also available.
